Top 10 Network Marketing Newbie Mistakes – Part 4
I’m nearing the end of my series on the Top 10 Network Marketing Newbie Mistakes so without further delay below is my #4 and #3.
If you’re in the Network Marketing Industry, I’m sure you’ve heard it… “Is this a pyramid scheme?” Well, when I first started in this industry, whenever someone would ask me this question I would go into this “long explanation” about what a pyramid really is blah blah blah and over time I’ve come to learn that if someone doesn’t know the difference, if you try to explain, it’s very difficult not to come across like you’re trying to “convince” them that it’s not.
So, I stopped. Now, when someone asks me this question, here’s my response:
“Absolutely not, why? Is that what you’re looking for? If it is then I can’t help you. What’s your next question?”
The next time you’re asked this question, try this response and see what happens.
I’m nearing the end of my series on the Top 10 Network Marketing Newbie Mistakes so without further delay below is my #4 and #3.
1. Start with Curiosity, Not Sales: Engage potential clients by exploring their interest first. Offering information is more inviting than pushing for a sale.
In Networking Marketing, having a simple, ‘duplicatable’ system is like a “given” but it’s only one piece of the pie.

Hey Laura! I love it! What a great response. There are so many people afraid of MLM because they think it is a pyramid scheme. I like how you handle it. Thanks for sharing this!
@Angela, Hey Angela, yes is it unfortunate – too many (I was one of them) waste time in the “ultimate pyramid scheme” (aka corporate America) and don’t see the potential of the industry. You can lead a horse to water…. Have an Awesome Day! Thanks, Laura
