Your Health & Wellness Business: How To Get Your Audience to Click ‘Buy’ During the Festive Frenzy.
Engaging your audience during the festive frenzy and getting them to click ‘Buy’ can be pivotal for your business.
So, what the heck can a Pit Crew teach us about Success in Network Marketing? Plenty…
A pit crew consists of eight members. The “jackman”, 2 tire changers, the front tire carrier, the rear tire carrier, the gas man and the utility. If the driver doesn’t have a good pit crew, they might as well stay in bed.
Network Marketing is not about you alone. It’s about building a team and leveraging the efforts of many. You can only go so far alone.
In Nascar, the pit stop (crew) is just as important as the driver when it comes to winning the race. A team can have the best car and the most brilliant driver, but that would be nothing without a good pit crew.
You may be the best promoter, marketer, communicator, recruiter, salesperson, etc. etc. but if what you do can’t be duplicated by the masses, your success is limited.
A race team plans a pit strategy prior to the start of every race. Choosing the optimum pit strategy of how many stops to make and when to make them is crucial in having a successful race.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
However, a team’s pit strategy is not a fixed, immutable thing; it is subject to change during the race to take into account the unpredictable events that happen in every race.
The marketplace, technology and the industry are constantly changing so your plan needs to be fluid.
The pit strategy is calculated carefully so that the amount of time to be “given away” to other competitors in pit stops is balanced out by the time gained while on the track, resulting, theoretically, in the shortest possible time to cover the scheduled distance.
In building your Network Marketing business, time management is key. You need to leverage your time so that you’re getting through the “busy work” as quickly as possible so that the majority of your time can be spent “on the track” (income producing activities).
Pit crews gauge success on a scale of milliseconds. Being able to push a car through the pit in a tenth of a second less than the other teams translates into winning times on the track. Training, Practice And Concentration Are The Keys To Faster Pit Stops. It’s all about getting out of the pits faster than the other guys, and training and preparation are the keys to unlocking that success.
Network Marketing is no different. Training and Personal Development is key because you need to learn the skills necessary to be successful and it’s a journey, not an event. If you stop learning, you stop earning.
Working on a NASCAR pit crew is a tireless and intense job but worthwhile for NASCAR lovers.
Network Marketing is hard work but for those looking for time and financial freedom, it’s worth it and it’s that long-term goal that keeps us going.
That’s what a pit crew can teach us about success in Network Marketing.
In NASCAR, a talented driver is of paramount importance, but a skilled pit crew can make the difference between glorious victory and ignominious defeat.
In Network Marketing, the individuals who manage their time, build a solid team, create a system that can be duplicated, focus on the income producing activities, are constantly learning, adapt to the constant changes in the marketplace, consistently work their plan and have a passion for what they do will ultimately win the race!

Excellent example. The focus of the team is right on the money. You clearly have been down the “road” a bit with this one. An now I will move further because of the reminder to include the entire team.
Thank you so much!
@Teach Jim, Thanks Jim!
Hey Laura,
I love the comparison between the pit crew and network marketing. I never thought about it that way and you are correct they do work together to get the job done. Great post.
@Lori Robertson, Hey Lori, thanks!
Hi Laura,
What a fun way to think of our marketing efforts! It sure looks like an exciting team to be a part of! And you are right. As marketers, we need to have our activity down to a science, in order to maximize our efforts. I will be thinking of this a great deal over the next week and trying to tighten up my performance!

@Nancy Burke Barr, JD, Hey Nancy, oh yes, we definitely need to always be working on “taking seconds off the clock”! 🙂 I love your blog/domain! Have a Wonderful Day! Laura
Good points. I especially appreciate the part about “Long Term Goals”. It’s human nature to want to see things right away, but that’s not the way it usually happens 🙂
@Grace, Hi Grace, oh yeah that immediate gratification 🙂 Thanks for the comment!
Hey Laura,
As a motorsports enthusiast I really enjoyed this post. Network marketing is not a business you can build on your own (actually, no business is, unless you want to work in it).
You need to build a good team of people around you who add value to the team with their own specialist skills. That’s why it’s so important to sponsor the right people.
Take care,
Wayne
@Wayne Wu, Hi Wayne, you definitely have that right. I’m glad you enjoyed the post – I absolutely love motorsports too. A few years back Nascar came to town and raced on the streets of downtown Minneapolis and Man! was that cool. Have a Fabulous Day! Thanks, Laura
Laura,

rebecca
@Rebecca Russell, Hey Rebecca, thank you so much. That’s so awesome that you’re part of a great team. Makes all the difference, doesn’t it?! Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Laura
Laura –
I must say this is one of the most well-written blogs I’ve read in awhile! Thanks! What a fantastic comparison! Reminds me of one of the Simple Truths videos (one of my favorite) about the power team work, based on the work of the Blue Angels (http://dld.bz/YrG). May we never forget that team work is what network marketing is all about. In fact, maybe we should just start referring to it as “teamwork marketing”! Now THERE’s an idea!!!!
@Steve Vernon, Thanks Steve. Oh yes! I love that video and the Blue Angels are definitely the model of teamwork. Thanks for stopping by. Have an Awesome Day! Laura
A very timely post Laura! I couldn’t agree more and yet it is an area that I’m not strong on. I need to get out of the mentality of ‘if you want a job done well, do it yourself’..which whilst valuable, is hard work. Working on your own can be fun but I also realise it can be limiting.
Best wishes
Joanna
@Joanna Sayers, Hi Joanna, yes I agree and you definitely don’t want to limit yourself so just be open to shifting your mindset and over time it will become more comfortable to you. We all have areas we need to work on and realizing what they are is half the battle. Thanks, Laura
Hey Laura,
Great analogy!
